The scams aimed at you — explained simply.
The calls about your Medicare card. The “free” test that needs your number. The letter that says act now. Argos Guardian turns them into one short, plain-spoken video — so you can spot them coming and hang up with confidence.
No account, no email, nothing to buy. Just press play.
Guard your Medicare number like a credit card.
Real Medicare mails you — it does not cold-call to sell you a plan, a card, or a “free” test. If someone you didn’t call asks for your Medicare, Social Security, or bank number: hang up. When in doubt, call Medicare yourself at the number on the back of your card.
One scam, wearing three costumes.
A phone call, a booth at a health fair, an official-looking letter. Different faces, the very same three warning signs.
They called you
The offer came out of the blue — a call, a booth, a letter. Real Medicare does not cold-call to sell you things or “verify” your number.
“Free” that needs your number
A free brace, test, or gift — but first they need your Medicare, Social Security, or bank number. Nothing truly free asks for that.
Hurry — and a fee
A deadline, a “your card is expiring” scare, or a small fee to “keep your benefits active” — often paid by gift card. Medicare cards are free and automatic.
You’re not in trouble — and it’s never too late to report.
Think you gave your number to the wrong person? Report it and keep an eye on your statements. Reporting is free, and it helps stop them from doing it to a neighbor.

Watch it with someone you love
The lesson is three minutes and plays with captions, so it works with the sound off. Watch it with an adult child or a friend — then agree on one household rule: nobody gives out a Medicare or Social Security number on an incoming call, ever.
